Alga Ela and bacteria Fero will tell you their stories what climate change makes in their life to help you understand why climate change is important to speak about. Together we will find that we are a part of nature and that all of us can contribute to protect it.

The lesson will explain ability of plants to accumulate metals and other pollutants and benefits of this specific feature that can be used to clean soil or water. It will show that sometimes a bad feature can be turned into a good one just we need to understand it.

Do you know what pollution, a form of a stress, causes to plants? They cannot escape from polluted sites; they cannot decide to go cleaner place. They must decide where they spend their energy. Will they use it for growing or they will invest everything just to survive. In the lesson you will learn the most common strategies plants use when growing in the polluted country.

Did you ever think what bacteria eat? In the lesson you will become familiar with the group of bacteria that are on a very specific diet – they eat metals wherever they find them. They search for them and even make the storage of them if necessary. But once we found these bacteria, we learn how to use their help in waste treatment. Nowadays, they become great environmentalists exploiting their expertise in metal recovery from waste.

There was a room in one Italian hotel. Everybody who slept there died. No signs of violence. You could walk there, you could stay there for some hours but once you stayed for night, it was your last one… Why? You will become a detective to find out within the lesson

Did you ever think about your favorite drink´s can becoming a bicycle? In this lesson you will learn about the properties of aluminum, find out where we encounter this metal in everyday life, and learn how aluminum, after appropriate processing, can be used to make various objects, including bicycles. It will introduce you to the topic of recycling and creative reuse of materials.

Have you ever wondered where the metal in your bike, coins, or even your school chair comes from? Metals start as unique rocks called ores, which miners dig up from deep underground. These rocks are taken to factories, where they are heated and cleaned to get the shiny, strong metals inside. Then, these metals are shaped into all sorts of cool things, from airplanes to robots.
